I just took a picture of the lobster roll after we arrived home and it looked delicious. We also ordered 4 pieces Fish and Chips and their Lobster Roll to take home. Her comment, “I like it!” I, on the other hand, was not feeling adventurous so I ordered Fish and Chips. My wife ordered Kanpachi Yellowtail, golden turmeric style with a side of corn on the cob. Delicious! The Spicy Tuna Roll had just the right amount of spiciness, it was filling however since this restaurant is not a true Japanese restaurant this was average. Swish! Gone! Where’d those go? Ha-ha! They were crunchy on the outside, tender and sweet in the inside. I think my wife and I were very hungry because it disappeared very quickly. My side order of grilled Brussel sprouts was nicely charred, but the fries were lukewarm and limp. The substantial amount of heavy Asian herb chimichurri sauce completely overpowered the paper-thin slice of fish. Unfortunately, my grilled Kanpachi Yellowtail dinner was a bit disappointing. But she loved their West coast version of a classic lobster roll, dressed with a refreshing light tarragon-dill blend instead of the usual mayo. We’re from New England so my wife is a traditionalist when it comes to lobster. It was the perfect starter and just the right size for the two of us. The generous bowl of deliciously fresh yellowfin tuna was lightly marinated in a sesame soy blend and served with crispy wonton chips. We started by sharing the Original Ahi Poke. My wife and I had dinner at their Pruneyard location in Campbell. ![]() They have eight restaurants, all in the Bay Area.
